What is the Turbine Type Flow Meter’s measuring principle?
The fluid affects the turbine blades as it travels through the turbine, causing them to rotate. The angular velocity of the turbine blades therefore serves as an indirect indicator of the flow rate. The idea is that the fluid velocity and the blade’s angular velocity are proportionate.The rotational speed of the turbine is converted into electrical pulses using a magnetoelectric converter and displayed on a secondary instrument. The data displayed by the turbine type flow meter reflects the flow rate of the fluid. Turbine type flow meter is available for clean fluids , such as the water, clean oil etc .
