Electromagnetic Flow Sensor

Electromagnetic flow sensor is  typically used for the monitoring and dosing of conductive liquids, such as water, acids, alkalis, slurries ,etc.If the working environment is special, a separate electromagnetic flow sensor can be selected. In a separate electromagnetic flow sensor, the converter is separate from the sensor.

What is the compoents of the Electromagnetic flow sensor ?

The structure of electromagnetic flow sensor mainly includes magnetic circuit system, measuring conduit, electrode, lining, converter, sensor and casing.

1. Measuring tube: The linked tube’s diameter should match that of the measuring tube. The measuring tube is typically connected using  flange.
2. Electrode: An electrode is a device that tracks the path of ions as they enter and leave the catheter. There are generally three electrodes in a water flow meter. The electrode material usually uses AISI316L.
3. Lining: The lining is a device installed inside the water flow meters conduit, which is in contact with the liquid to be measured. It should be noted that the lining should not use materials that chemically react with the liquid to be tested. Generally, the lining materials used are PTFE and rubber, and PTFE should be selected as the lining material for edible liquids. 
4. Converter: The converter is generally installed on the upper part of the sensor to convert electromagnetic signals into simple and easy-to-understand digital signals, and is used to display data. To better protect the converter, the electromagnetic flow sensors should not be installed in an excessively bumpy environment.
5. Sensor: “The sensor” of electromagnetic flow sensor is composed of measuring tubes and electrodes for detecting and collecting electromagnetic information in the liquid. The quality and status of “the sensor” will affect the entire measurement process, so in use, “the sensor” should be used according to the rules and cleaned regularly.  
6.  Outer shell: The outer shell is the protection of the water flow meter. Our electromagnetic flow sensor which is in blue and white are made of carbon steel; the shiny gray outer shell is usually made of 304 stainless steel.
