High frequency radar level sensor is currently the mainstream product for measuring solid level. Solid radar type sensor is non contact level measurement, horn antenna and parabolic antenna are widely used for level measurement of solid material, heavy dust, particles etc.
The high frequency 26G non contact solid radar level sensor is not affected by temperature, pressure, gas, etc. because it does not contact the measured medium. Solid radar level sensors are almost maintenance-free, no damage, hanging materials, etc., there is no parts replacement problems, life is long, simple to install, simple to calibrate.
Why choose high frequency radar level meter for solid level measurement?
The diffuse reflection of the material surface is the primary source of radar wave reflection when bulk material level is being measured. The wavelength and material particle size both affect the diffuse reflection’s intensity, which is proportional to both. Conversely, this means that the shorter the wavelength for a given material, the easier it is to reflect, which also results in a better echo signal during radar measurement. Since the majority of bulk materials have straight lengths of less than 50 mm under typical conditions, 26GHz radar is the best option for level measurement.
The application requirements for large-scale cement production lines are fully satisfied by the high-frequency radar’s measurement range, which can reach up to 100 meters at its utmost. The general measurement range of the device is 70 meters.
The high-frequency radar level meter is ideal for measuring the level of silos with relatively large length and diameter because of its good directionality, small launch angle, and strong anti-interference ability. It is particularly useful for measuring the level of calcium carbide furnaces and converter silos. And so on. In these situations, it is typically challenging for low-frequency radars to satisfy the measurement specifications.
